Wild Honey Art's cards are printed in Greytown, hand-folded and lovingly sealed in a cellophane wrapper to ensure longevity. They're based on artist Nikki McIvor's popular drawings of animals.
Harlequin Great Dane: “Hounds of Love was originally intended to be a drawing of the three dogs that my business partner and I have between our two families. I drew Angel, the harlequin Great Dane first; and she ended up being the drawing.
She is a relentless smoocher and just loves being in the office with us. She lies down on the floor and grunts for attention, making us walk around her as we pack up orders.
The song “Hounds of Love” by Kate Bush talks about boundless love, which our gorgeous Angel has in spades. It also has lyrics that refer to finding a fox, caught by dogs. I felt that this was a nice link between the fox and the hare drawings.” – by Nikki
The Great Dane is a very gentle and loving animal that is great around children. They are known for seeking affection, and for sitting on and leaning against their owners as “the world’s biggest lapdog”.
